Film Industry Good For The Economy In Puerto Rico

Movies, TV series and documentaries shot in Puerto Rico last year, brought in $70 million into the island economy.  There has been an increase in  European and U.S. productions, using the island to shoot big-budget Hollywood movies such as Fast Five, and Pirates of The Caribbean 4.

Filmmakers are lured to Puerto Rico by its scenery, skilled movie crews and generous tax credits.  It is expected the Puerto Rican film industry will leap to the next level, now that a new law with film incentives has been enacted.
