The Caribbean island of Puerto Rico offers a great variety of places to live, from the ocean to the mountains, the city and suburbs, and even islands off the main island.  If you are planning on moving to Puerto Rico, here is a list of the top ten best places to live in Puerto Rico:

  2. Rincon should be higher on the list. The top 4 are all area metro. Really? Humacao ranked higher than Rincon, no way. I actually live here. It's a good list but Rincon is one of the Americans top choices to move to.

    2. There is no specific area for older adults in Puerto Rico. Older adults can be found living all over the island, although, many are in the San Juan area, because is close to doctors and hospitals. The areas of Isla Verde and Condado are good, they are centrally located, and you are close to the beach.

    2. Those cities (towns) except for Humacao and Cayey are high on tourism and much more expensive, not necessarily the best places to live. There are many other towns not as expensive where you can find nice communities. Begin with Cabo Rojo. Gorgeous beach town, not nearly as expensive or crowded as San Juan.

  8. Cabo Rojo needs to be there. It is safe. The West is the safest place of PR. Rincon needs to be higher.

    1. Isla Verde, Condado and Old San Juan all have great nightlife. Isla Verde is located on the best beach in the San Juan area and Condado is close to Santurce a up and coming arts area. Isla Verde, Condado and Old San Juan are all next to each other. Outside of these areas it would be more laid-back and suburb towns.

  10. I am wanting to retire in Puerto Rico. I currently live in Dallas, Texas and speak very little Spanish. I am wanting to purchase a condo on the beach...any suggestions?

  11. I suggest staying in the San Juan area, as you are not fluent with the language. The area of Condado and Isla Verde would be a good choice for you. The town of Rincon, on the west of the the island, has a large population of people from the mainland, but it is quite a distance from San Juan.
