Big Plans For Luis Muñoz Marin Park In San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Mayor of San Juan, Jorge Santini, plans to reopen Luis Muñoz Marín Park as an eco-educational and extreme sports center in the heart of San Juan, Puerto Rico.  The plan for Luis Muñoz Marín Park is to make it a big attraction for locals and tourists in Puerto Rico.

With a $110 million investment of public and private funding, the park will be powered in part by solar panels and windmills, and include areas for skateboarding, BMX, mountain biking, a wave pool for surfing, a zipline, and a technology pavilion.  Many of the attractions would be free of cost to users while some would carry fees.
