British Airways Starts Flights In Puerto Rico

As Puerto Rico Is The Place had reported earlier, British Airways has started flights from San Juan to London's  Gatwick Airport.  British Airways will offer two weekly flights on a Boeing 777 aircraft.  A one million dollars incentive from the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, helped to attract British Airways.  The government of Puerto Rico wants to expand flights to the markets of the United States, Europe and Latin America.

This is a return for British Airways to the Puerto Rican market.  It has been ten years, since the airline had flights from Puerto Rico.  British Airways sees a lot of development in the Puerto Rican market, and is looking forward to great opportunities for British Airways in the island of Puerto Rico.

The current itinerary for British Airways has flights Monday and Friday in both directions, from San Juan to Antigua, and from Antigua to London.  There are no direct flights in the new route.
